“When the moon is full the legend comes to life.” – The Wolfman 2010
The legend is now coming this February 12, 2010 in USA. This film is a remake of the 1941 movie, “The Wolf Man”. The original plotline has been kept together with the setting of 1880. The story started when Lawrence Talbot (Benicio Del Toro) decided to return home to find his missing brother. His coming back was prompted by a letter from Gwen Conliffe (Emily Blunt), his brother’s fiancée. Ms. Conliffe informed Lawrence (Benicio Del Toro) that his brother is missing and she needs his help in finding him. This is a chance for him to reunite with his estranged father (Anthony Hopkins). After the death of Lawrence Talbot’s (Benicio Del Toro) mother, he left the silent Victorian hamlet of Blackmoor behind – leaving together the pains and horrors of his childhood. He was not aware that the horror will welcome him home. The villagers were eyed by a gruesome creature in the dark. While some of the villagers are killed, the ancient curse was kept as a horrifying rumor. It was believed that the curse is passed on to those who are bitten by the beast. Not even Aberline (Hugo Weaving) a Scotland Yard inspector can give a logical explanation for the miserable spell that is covering Blackmoor.
The nobleman Lawrence Talbot hover the darkest part of Blackmoor, having the spirit of stopping the horror and protecting his love,(Emily Blunt). Because of an unexpected incident, the horror is now within him. An animal rage is unleashing his body and soul when the moon is full- and the legend Wolf Man comes to life.
